DOOM Map Editor
DOS-based DOOM (and DOOM II) map editor
Need only a mouse and VGA.
Build (and play) maps quickly and easily.
Some features:
Play map function: loads DOOM with the current map, when you exit
DOOM, youre back to the editor with the map you just played.
very extensive error-checking. checks lots of stuff.
check it out. (HOM, medusa, tutti-fruitty I&II,
multi on 2S, hanging, LWE, etc)
Enhanced view: 3D-like editing mode; see breaks, doors, etc. easier.
texture-aligning using the viewer: handy; view and adjust/pick
the texture exactly as it would appear in DOOM.
viewer: view walls, floors, sprites & patches in the DOOM palette
multiple selection to edit many objects at once.
sector styles list: edit, create, delete arrange sector styles.
auto-stairs (rising & fixed) & door making: make anywhere, easy, etc.
no scroll bars anywhere: all options are always on the screen in front.
one-touch editing: tap a key to edit an object near the mouse.
simple mouse control: pan map, zoom, mode selection, object creation,
object move, etc. all on the mouse.
much better file/process handling.
